March 3nd, 2007: Played tonight at the Token Lounge for the Ugly Geo Birthday Bash. Thanks to those of you who came out and showed your love. The album is progressing well. I'll have more worthwhile updates soon. St. Patty's Day show coming up on March 17th. Don't miss it! Check shows for more details.
March 2nd, 2007: Tonight we started the guitars and so far, they're sounding really good. Got a lot of pictures tonight and a couple of decent videos from the studio. They should be up some time tonight. Check out the media section.
February 22nd, 2007: Studio session was postponed today due to the fact that Landon is ill. Hopefully we can pick it up Tuesday or Thursday of next week. Dealys just mean more time to rehearse before we go into the studio. There are new updates regarding the progress of the album in the Media section, as well as Eric's first stab at a music video...bang up job Eric! Remember there is a show March 3rd at the Token Lounge. It's a Toga Party! $7 gets you in the door with a Toga...$10 without. We're playing with the Brian Schram Band, Euphoric Haze, and Blasternaut. Come one, come all...should be a good show!
February 20th, 2007: Finished the bass. Check out media for details. Thursday we start guitars.
February 17th, 2007: Two nights ago, the band had another session at FM Studios to start recording bass. Eight songs were completed; two remain. Then comes guitars and vocals. New pictures up from this latest session in media.
February 12th, 2007: The band has been busy this week taking care of things not related to music. Last Tuesday Jamus and JC went out to FM Studios to record the basslines for Mercury Sermon. That session went very well, and bass will most likely be finished up by Thursday of this upcoming week. After that comes the guitars and vocals. Still ahead of the curve in terms of when we're aiming for completion. We're on two more bills for the Token Lounge in early March and a St. Patty's Day show also at the Token Lounge on the 17th of March. Check the Shows section for more details.
February 2nd, 2007:
Tonight we played the Token Lounge with
Peace of Mind, Obscured, and Quixotic. All in all, it was a very high energy
show start to finish. Many thanks to everyone who made their way out. Peace
of Mind started us all off with some good old hip hop, and included a song
with the Peacemaker on an upright bass. Obscured hit us hard start to finish
with a very tight set. Quixotic continued the night with an almost jam-band
vibe. All three of these groups were a treat to see. We'd definitely love
to see more from these guys in the future. We received one of the warmest
receptions of any of the shows we've played in the 9-10 years we've been together
as musicians. This whole set somehow found it's way to a CD, so thanks to
everyone who made noise and to Walt for his cameo. Everyone has given us so
much support and love; it's hard to not be smiling after a night like this.
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible; whether it be those who work
at the lounge, those who bring us music night after night, or even those who
sit quietly in the corner with an attentive ear. We love you all.
January 30th, 2007: Not really much to update today, although I did get ahold of some pictures from the last show at the Token Lounge. I'll be putting them up here very soon. I added a counter to the main page as well. If you take a swing on over to our Myspace, you can hear some early demos of the band, in case you've never heard us. I recently tweaked our Myspace to mirror the look and feel of the website. Keep in mind we'll be playing a show at the Token Lounge on the 2nd of February, and it will be recorded directly at the mixing board. Also, there will be a video recording of that show, which may find it's way to the website as well. Stickers, buttons, and new T-shirts are also in the works and will be available at shows, or via the Merch section of our site soon.
January 29th, 2007: More information on the upcoming album, due out the first half of this year, as well as studio photos from the 18th of January (Session 2). Swing on over to the media section to check it out.
January 28th, 2007: I finally added a guestbook to the mix. If you look up, there is a link there, as well as from the info section of the page. Some folks were kind enough to take some pictures at the last show, and as soon as those kind folks are kind enough to send those pictures my way, I'll put them on the website so the rest of the world can see them as well. In the meantime, you get to look at extra writing. In the meantime, swing on over to the media section for an update on the new album.
January 26th, 2007: Tonight, we played a short-notice set at the Token Lounge. We saw a lot of new faces and felt a lot of love from the audience. To anyone who made it to this show, we would like to thank you for your support. It felt really good walking out of there tonight. In the coming week, we've got another show at the Token Lounge on February 2nd with Peace of Mind, Obscured, and Quixotic. We'd like to personally invite you to come and to bring anyone you can; we'll show you a side of music not often seen in the mix of modern rock. 3:00AM...it's time to sleep. Again, thank you all for your love and support. We couldn't have felt this good tonight without it.
January 24th, 2007: The site is up and alive again. I'll be putting everything back up here over the course of the next week and I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on the band happenings. Presently, we've got two shows lined up. One of them on 1-26-07 at the Token, and another on 2-2-07. If you're planning on coming out, the February 2nd show is the one to go to if you're torn between them. The band also started recording an album at FM Studios in Michigan. Three weeks in and we've already got ten tracks that will be on the album. Check back for more details. Currently, I'm reassembling the website's spine and guts, and the fun stuff comes later. Sorry for the delays.
